It's on its way. The question is are you ready?

Relaxing Morning.

I have been thinking about the following passage:

God will never give you something somebody else is supposed to have
So your jealousy and envy and insecurities about somebody’s else’s blessings
Shouldn't be....because it ain’t yours

Things that we want and haven’t received seem to be to even further away when you see someone else with it. You think, “When will this happen for me?” There are times that you need to be patient. Things will happen when they are supposed to happen. In the meantime, you should work on preparing yourself for those blessings. You want that new job but do not have the experience then go and intern. Do some volunteer work or shadow someone in the industry. There are always people out there willing to help you. That way when the blessing comes, you can say I do not have the job history but I do have the experience. How about you want that relationship but your communication is not so great. Take the time to learn how to be a better communicator. Read some books on the subject. Communicate better with the people around you. You want that new car or house but don’t have the money or credit. Really, you are upset about this? Really? Focus on saving and building better credit….duh. Don’t buy those shoes. Drink the coffee at the office instead of Starbuck’s. Hand your credit cards over and pay them off. You have to put in the legwork to get the things you want. Just because you did a little something, you think you should get the blessing. Apparently, you have not done enough and that’s why you don’t have it yet. Don’t get discouraged. Just keep moving forward.

This morning I was reading Exodus and GOD was giving Moses all of these instructions. As I was reading, I began to think “Geesh I hope GOD wrote all of this down because it’s a lot and I would sooooo hate to mess that up”. Then the instructions got a little gruesome and I thought “Hmmmm would I be able to do that?” Once I finished reading the designated chapters I was thinking was it the point of all of this? Then it came to me (THIS IS MY OPINION) that this passage could be telling ME that in life there will be times that you have to go through a lot to get to where you want and need to be. During this process, it will not always be easy but you have to do because it’s part of the process. So, when you catch ill feelings about someone else’s happiness know that you are still on YOUR journey. You do not know what has happened in their life to get them where they are today. They may have finished their list of duties before you did. What if there is something better for you. Why settle for someone else’s blessing when yours may be greater?

GET YOUR MIND RIGHT! Prepare yourself for what belongs to you. Every time you get upset and withdraw, you are stalling your blessing. SO, when you are feeling emotional MAN UP! PUSH THROUGH IT! Your blessing is on its way.

I hope that you have an awesome day!

AND remember envy is the art of counting another person’s blessings instead of your own.

MAKE IT GREAT!

  1. This was a great read! It reminds me of two things...
(1)I read recently in 'Outwitting the Devil' the author made a habit of going to prayer before troubles of life overtook him, and instead went to prayer with the intent to give thanks and ask to be worthy of all that he had been blessed with. That really can help you stay in an attitude of gratitude and keep your focus off of what other folks have and what you don't have (yet).
(2)"you should work on preparing yourself for those blessings" is right on! Sometimes the things we seek and ask for come with responsibility. Thus, we must go through 'the process' in order to prepared to handle the responsibility that comes with the blessing.

    1. I totally agree! How can you ask for help or for more when you haven't even given "Thanks" for what you already have? When you focus on yours then how can you see what others have?

RIGHT! When they say GOD will never give you more than you can handle it's not just for burdens it also applies to blessings. If you are not happy with what you have now why give more?
